Intimate London Show for MTV
Link Roadrunner UK are also tweeting about it...
"Three-times Grammy nominees STONE SOUR have teamed up with MTV and Gift Music for one of their exclusive ‘MTV Presents:’ live shows at London’s Dingwalls venue on Tuesday, 19th October, just around the corner from MTV’s UK HQ in Camden. The show is part of a series of special, one-off gigs featuring the best of both established and emerging global talent. In the first 9 months, the likes of Vampire Weekend, Deftones, Foals, Marina and The Diamonds and Tinie Tempah have all lined up to be involved. The Des Moines, IA-based band recently released their third studio album ‘Audio Secrecy’ to massive critical acclaim. The disc crashed into both the UK and US album charts at #6, with the band also racking up many of their highest ever chart positions in other countries across the globe. STONE SOUR recorded ‘Audio Secrecy’ in Nashville earlier this year with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters / Alice In Chains) and released their first single, ‘Say You’ll Haunt Me’ in August. The cryptic video for the track can currently be seen on all good music channels. Frontman Corey Taylor commented about the album, “’Audio Secrecy’ is the summation of everything we want, everything we crave and everything we fight for. The dimensions go further than anything we've ever tried before. It's metal, rock, slow, soft, hard, fast, bitter, beautiful and most importantly, it's REAL. We're throwing caution out the damn window.” STONE SOUR kick off their major co-headline UK tour in Glasgow on 26th October with Avenged Sevenfold and with the majority of tickets already sold out, the MTV Presents… STONE SOUR gig is the perfect chance to catch the band, up close and personal, before they head out on their UK arena dates. "The shows are going to be amazing and the fans are going to lose their minds. Here we fucking GO!" - Corey Taylor The MTV Presents gig is one show you won’t want to miss out on this year. Tickets are £12 and available exclusively to Stone Sour 'Dead Generation' fanclub members today (October 8th). Any remaining tickets will go on general sale from Monday October 11th"
Is there any news on this at all? I can't see anything on DG anywhere :(.

Any news on this at all? I can't see anything on SS' site...
Stone Sour, Download, England 2010
I was up front for Stone Sour's (very cold and wet) set at Download back in June 2010 and thought I'd share some of the photos I took.
Hope you like them, some of them are really bad due to the weather (my old camera hates wind and rain!) but some aren't too bad, so I thought I'd share.

Hey all of Dead Generation! I'm sparkly_spike, AKA Kat.
You probably know me from the public site, and various other places on the web... I've been a huge fan of Stone Sour since '03 and am really glad the fanclub is back![]()
Hope to see you all around!
Meeting Stone Sour
I've been lucky enough to meet the guys on several occasions...
First time was backstage at the Astoria in February 2003 and I kept taking photos of Corey 'cause it was amusing. He was trying to make a speech and I kept interrupting him but he's a pro so he carried on...and then wanted to see all the results, haha!!
Corey's Blair Witch Impression:

Then again in July '03 when they toured with Murderdolls...

Then in '06 when they had a listening party for Come What(ever) May in London.
The story behind The Hat is that because my friend and I had been to so many shows and met them a good number of times that we wanted something for them to remember us by...so we bought this ridiculous hat and tail combination in London and took it with us. Somehow the guys ended up wearing it and then Josh wore it onstage to introduce the album to the gathering. I think it's in Kerrang! from the time as well but I don't own the magazine to check that. Anyway, pictures.
Josh wearing it onstage.
Jim was all about The Hat. As you can see.

So it worked, they recognise it now and we took it with us to Download, got up front and waved it madly till Corey spotted it. He also got to see it again last year at Sonisphere. Mission accomplished :D
I've met the guys wondering around when they played here as well but don't have photos from those times 'cause it was a quick "Oh it's you!" moment.
I went to see Amebix in London in 2009 when Roy was playing with them and got to meet him outside, it was the first time I met Roy so I was like "babblebabblehugestonesourfanbabble" - smooth. But he didn't have to wear the hat at least.

Thanks for reading my stories, hope you like the pictures :)
