Hey everyone. My name is Glynnis. I joined DG a few months ago, and for some reason, I never got around to doing one of these.
I have been a fan of Stone Sour five years now. I absolutely LOVE the new album. I was fortunate enough to win the Facebook contest being the first to figure out the code to Say You'll Haunt Me and won a meet and greet/tickets to the Saratoga Uproar show. I got my tickets with no issue, and actually paid it forward with a girl who was $5 short buying her ticket. I had mine, so I gave her $5 so she could get in. I don't know. I was in a great mood.
It was hot that day and I sat in the shade and watched Airborn from a distance. I have to say they were pretty decent live. I had my call telling me when I was meeting SS. I got there, and there was one other small group. They took us up an elevator, into a small room and that was where I met the band. They ALL were so awesome. I barely got to talk to Corey though. The other people took up a bit of his time. It was OK. I have met Corey twice and he has always been super nice. Jim was great with my son who was getting a t-shirt signed. He then talked to my husband for what seemed like an eternity about flying-V guitars. I actually got to introduce myself to Roy - he is so sweet. I had chatted with him before, so it was finally nice to meet him face to face. Stone Sour was awesome live and we had a total kick-ass time. I really want to thank Stone Sour for having the contest.
Two days later, I got to see them in NYC at the small show you guys saw on this site and got to spend about 15 minutes talking with Corey after the show. I have to tip my hat to him. I thought I had him beat with obscure songs on my iPod (trust me, I have a quite a few), but he p'wnd me by having the one I thought he would NEVER have. And pogo dancing like the singer too. I nearly peed my pants. Both shows were special and I am so blessed to have been to both of these shows!
My name is Glynnis and I have been a Stone Sour fan over four years now. I saw them perform in 2006 and my show was the one that was used for the DVD of the Family Values tour and album. I think I see the white spec that was my shirt somewhere on the left behind all the bands that came out for the group picture!
Anyway, hello to all of you. I'm thrilled that the new Stone Sour site is here. Tell the designers it looks amazing.
I love good music and I love to travel with friends to see it. I have my first roadtrip of the summer coming up next week for five days. I'm looking forward to Stone Sour in Saratoga and look forward to chatting with all of you about the band!
Cheers.
